Pursuant to Section 29-10 of the San Marcos Code of <br />Ordinances, and upon the basis of an engineering and traffic <br />investigation, the traffic register maintained under Section 29-4 of <br />the San Marcos Code of Ordinances is amended by adding a school zone <br />speed limit on a portion of Stagecoach Trail in the City, to be <br />posted and enforced as follows: <br /> <br />LOCATION <br /> <br />TYPE OF CONTROL <br /> <br />LIMITS OF REGULATION <br /> <br />Stagecoach <br />Trail <br /> <br />Speed limit- <br />School zone <br /> <br />From a point 1,100 feet Northwest <br />of its intersectaon with Hunter <br />Road, a distance of 1,000 feet to <br />the Northwest; 7:30 a.m.-8:30 a.m. <br />and 3:30 p.m.-4:15 p.m.: 20 m.p.h. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. That if any word, phrase, clause, sentence, or <br />paragraph of this ordinance is held to be unconstitutional or invalid <br />by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions of <br />this ordinance shall remain in effect as if the unconstitutional or <br />invalid portion had not been adopted. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in <br />conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed. <br /> <br />SECTION 4. That any person who violates any provision of this <br />ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction <br />shall be subject to the penalty prescribed in Section 1-5 of the San <br />Marcos Code of Ordinances. <br /> <br />SECTION 5. That the importance of this Ordinance creates an <br />emergency and an imperative public necessity so that the provisions <br />of the Charter requiring that ordinances shall be presented at three <br />separate meetings and that no ordinance shall become effective until <br />the expiration of ten (10) days following the date of its final <br />passage be suspended, and these provisions are hereby suspended, and <br />this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from <br />and after its adoption and after its publication in a newspaper of <br />general circulation within the City as provided by the City Charter <br />of the City of San Marcos. <br /> <br />PASSED, <br />1994. <br /> <br />APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of November <br /> <br /> <br />~ <br />r~ <br /> <br />~test: ~~ <br />' , ''R?f) <br /> <br />" nV. \ ',V/ii//v\~ <br /> <br />Janis K.
