<br />30 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 1994 - <br /> <br />162 <br /> <br />R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING REVISED SALARY <br />SCHEDULES FOR CITY EMPLOYEES WHO ARE NOT <br />SUBJECT TO STATE CIVIL SERVICE STATUTES; AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS <br /> <br />1. The City last implemented a salary schedule for City <br />employees who are not subject to State Civil Service Statutes on <br />May 11, 1992. <br /> <br />2. Many City employees are no longer eligible for merit pay <br />increases because they are presently paid at the upper limit of <br />the salary range for their job classification. <br /> <br /> <br />3 . The adoption of revised salary schedules will restore <br />merit pay increase eligibility for many City employees, and will <br />enhance the City's ability to retain a qualified and effective <br />workforce. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. That the revised salary schedules for City employees <br />who are not subject to the State Civil Service Statutes, <br />consisting of position Classifications for System A <br />(Exempt/Unclassified) and System B (Non-Exempt/Classified) <br />Personnel, are hereby approved. . <br /> <br />PART 2. That this Resolution is in full force and effect <br />immediately upon its passage. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this the 14th day of <br /> <br />.
