<br />I <br /> (':-9 <br /> ADOPT-A-RIVER PROGRAM ADOPTION AGREEMENT <br /> The San Marcos River Foundation (SMRF), the City of San Marcos <br /> Parks and Recreation Department (city), and <br /> (your group) recognize the <br /> goal of beautifying the San Marcos River. By signing this <br /> agreement your group agrees to the following terms and conditions. <br /> Your group agrees to: <br /> 1. clean its adopted section at least twice each year, with <br /> at least one of these times to coincide with an organized <br /> River Cleanup. <br /> 2. provide adult supervision for participants 15 years of <br /> age or younger. <br /> 3. prohibit the consumption of alcoholic beverages by <br /> members during cleanups. <br /> 4. notify the city of each cleanup at least one week in <br /> advance. <br /> 5. obtain and abide by safety literature from the SMRF. <br /> ~ <br /> 6. return within one week following cleanup, all unused <br /> supplies provided by the city. <br /> 7. have a first-aid kit and drinking water on-site during <br /> cleanups. <br /> The SMRF agrees to recognize your group for participating in this <br /> program in news releases, in its newsletter, and on a plaque to be <br />- located in city Park. <br /> The city agrees to: <br /> 1. provide bags and equipment to your group for the <br /> collection of litter. <br /> 2. dispose of litter collected by your group. <br /> 3. assist your group in removing litter from your section <br /> under unusual circumstances. If there are large objects <br /> or litter that is too heavy or hazardous to lift, notify <br /> the City, and the City will assist in removing them. <br /> Your group's adoption section is along the bank of the <br /> San Marcos River between and <br /> , and 100 feet wide adjacent to <br /> the river's edge. <br />
