Section 2-132 of the San Marcos Code of <br />Ordinance requires that the Commission for Minorities (the <br />"Commission") meet on a monthly basis. <br /> <br />2. The Commission wishes to be allowed to <br />schedule meetings as necessary but not less than six times a <br />year. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. That Section 2-132 of the San Marcos <br />Code of Ordinances is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec- 2-132- Rules and reQUlations. <br /> <br />The commission for minorities shall adopt such <br />rules and regulations as it deems best to govern its actions, <br />subject to the general laws of the state, the City Charter, <br />this Code, and any other action of the city council. The <br />commission shall meet as often as the commission members <br />determine is necessary, but will conduct six regularly <br />scheduled meetings per year on a bimonthly basis. At all . <br />meetings a majority of the commission shall èonstitute a <br />quorum and the concurrence of a majority of those present <br />shall be required for the determination of matters within its <br />jurisdiction. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. That if any word, phrase, clause, <br />sentence, or paragraph of this ordinance is held to be <br />unconstitutional or invalid by a court of -competent <br />jurisdiction, the remaining provisions of this ordinance <br />shall remain in effect as if the unconstitutional or invalid <br />portion had not been adopted. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. That all ordinances and resolutions or <br />parts of ordinances or resolutions in conflict herewith are <br />hereby repealed. <br /> <br />SECTION 4.
