87 RESOLUTION 1994 - 182 R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING THE ISSUANCE OF A CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY TO CLAUDIA MARLOWE D/B/A CHRISTOPHER CAB COMPANY FOR THE PROVISION OF TAXICAB SERVICES IN SAN MARCOS; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. RECITALS: 1. On December 12¡ 1994, the San Marcos City Council held a public hearing regarding an application for a certificate of public convenience and necessity from Claudia Marlowe d/b/a Christopher Cab Company for the provision of taxicab services in the City. 2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date¡ the City Council determined that all requirements of Chapter 27 of the San Marcos Code of Ordinances pertaining to the issuance of a certificate of public convenience and necessity have been met by the applicant. 3. The City Council hereby finds that thi$ taxicab service is required to adequately serve the public convenience and necessity and that the applicant is fit, willing and able to perform such public transportation and to conform to the provisions of Chapter 27 of the Code of Ordinances; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: PART 1. That the issuance of a certificate of a public convenience and necessity to Claudia Marlowe d/b/a Christopher Cab Company for the provision of taxicab services is hereby approved. PART 2. That the City Secretary, Janis K. Womack, is hereby directed to issue a certificate of public convenience and necessity to Claudia Marlowe d/b/a Christopher Cab Company¡ authorizing the operation of one (1) taxicab within the City. PART 3. That this Resolution shall be in full' force and effect immediately from and after its passage.
