AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS CHANGING THE NAME FOR LAUREL LANE BETWEEN EAST MIMOSA CIRCLE AND ED J. L. GREEN DRIVE TO LAUREL RIDGE; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, on November lO, 1992 the Planning Commission of the City of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change the name of Laurel Lane between East Mimosa Circle and Ed J.L. Green Drive to Laurel Ridge; and, WHEREAS, subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning Commission did, on November 10, 1992, approve the request and has recommended that the request be approved by the City Council of the City; and, WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on the 8th day of February, 1993 regarding the request; and, WHEREAS, all requirements of Chapter 25 of the Code of . Ordinances of the City of San Marcos pertaining to street name changes have been met; now, therefore, " BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the street name for Laurel Lane between East Mimosa Circle and Ed J.L. Green Drive is hereby changed to Laurel Ridge. SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (10) days from and after its passage, and it shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the area as required by the Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas. PASSED AND APPROVED on first reading February 8, 1993. PASSED AND APPROVED on second reading February 22, 1993. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED March 1, 1993. ~~ ~liit~ Attest: '.
