<br /> 1¡P ~I 110 <br /> it' Z ~! <br /> o'Q a <br /> ~~ ~ ßt5 ORDINANCE NO. 1993 - -.lL <br /> (W~ ~ cn7i <br /> ~ ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> aD AN <br /> OF SAN MARCOS ¡ TEXAS AMENDING THE CITY BUDGET <br /> ORDINANCE FOR THE 1992-1993 FISCAL YEAR TO <br /> PROVIDE FUNDING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF <br /> OUTDOOR BASKETBALL COURTS IN CITY PARKS; AND <br /> DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> WHEREAS¡ in accordance with Section 8.16 of the City Charter <br /> -- of the City of San Marcos¡ Texas¡ the City Council declares that a <br /> public necessity exists which requires amendment of the City¡s <br /> 1992-93 budget; now¡ therefore¡ <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> SECTION 1. That the City Budget Ordinance for the 1992-1993 <br /> !, Fiscal Year is hereby amended as set forth in the attached Exhibit <br /> A¡ in order to provide funding for the construction of outdoor <br /> basketball courts in Veterans Memorial Park¡ Victory Gardens park¡ <br /> Rio Vista park¡ Swift Memorial park¡ City park¡ Hills of Hays Park <br /> and Castle Forest Park. <br /> SECTION 2. That these revisions and reappropriations which <br /> shall be the amended budget for the City of San Marcos¡ Texas¡ for <br /> the fiscal year 1992-1993¡ are hereby approved and adopted. <br /> SECTION 3. That the importance of this Ordinance creates an <br /> emergency and an imperative public necessity so that the <br /> prov~s~ons of the Charter requ~r~ng that ordinances shall be <br /> presented at three separate meetings and that no ordinance shall <br /> become effective until the expiration of ten (10) days following <br /> the date of its final passage be suspended¡ and these provisions <br /> are hereby suspended¡ and this Ordinance shall take effect and be <br /> in full force and effect from and after its adoption and after its <br /> publication in a newspaper of general circulation within the City <br /> as provided by the City Charter of, the City of San Marcos. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of May ¡ <br /> 1993. .. \~ ~i~ <br /> Mayor . <br /> Attest: ~ Approved: <br /> ~~ ./ þy¿ ~B,~ <br /> /./ LV/7~--Cf .
