<br /> San Marcos Electric Utility is a municipally owned utility servicing approximately 13,000 resid,mtial, commercial and industrial
<br /> customers. Wholesale electrical service is provided to the City by the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) which has
<br /> diversified generation sources: hydro - II %; gas - 46 %; coal - 43 %. The City's wholesale power agreement (the "Wholesale
<br /> Power Agreement") with LCRA was executed by the City on August 12, 1986, and was effective as of September 1, 1986.
<br /> The Wholesale Power Agreement has a tenn of thirteen years from the effective date thereof and successive periods of ten years
<br /> thereafter unless either party has notified the other in writing prior to the end of the eighth year of the original or successive
<br /> agreement tenn that it intends to terminate the agreement. Power is distributed throughout the City from four sub-stations, -
<br /> centrally located to the service area. Dual feed with automatic switchover is available at site locations. Distribution installed
<br /> capacity is 120 megawatts, with system load peaking at 65 megawatts. ' "

<br /> San Marcos Electric Utility is actively engaged in energy conservation programs which continue to make power supply
<br /> availability and dependability even more attractive. Reliability ratings for the City and LCRA are 99.9% and 99.8%,
<br /> respectively.

<br /> Residential: $6.50 customer charge plus $0.05404/kwh
<br /> Small Commercial: $8.75 customer charge plus $0.05146/kwh
<br /> Medium Commercial: $45.00 to $75.00 customer charge plus :53.96 to $9.67 demand charge plus
<br /> $0.02849/kwh
<br /> Large Commercial: $200.00 to $700.00 customer charge plus $8.50 to $8.60 demand charge plus
<br /> $0.02474/kwh to $0.02547/kwh
