<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
<br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL
<br />ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING LOT 7,
<br />BLOCK 2 OF THE C. L. MCGEHEE SUBDIVISION AS
<br />RECORDED IN VOLUME H, PAGE 573 OF THE HAYS
<br />COUNTY DEED RECORDS, LOCATED AT 317 BLANCO
<br />STREET FROM "R-1" SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING
<br />DISTRICT (LOW DENSITY) TO "P" PUBLIC AND
<br />INSTITUTIONAL DISTRICT AND DECLARING AN
<br />EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, on May 25,1993, the Zoning commission of the city of
<br />San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change the
<br />zoning from "R-1" single-Family Dwelling District (low density) to
<br />"P" Public and Institutional District for Lot 7, Block 2 of the
<br />C.L. McGehee Subdivision as recorded in Volume H, Page 573 of the
<br />Hays County Deed Records; and, ~
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the
<br />Commission did, on May 25, 1993 consider the request and voted to
<br />approve it and has recommended that the request be approved by the
<br />city Council of the city; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the city Council held a public hearing on the 26th
<br />day of July , 1993, regarding the request; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, all requirements of Appendix A, General Zoning
<br />Ordinance, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos
<br />pertaining to amendments have been met; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the city council hereby finds and determines that the
<br />adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the
<br />public health, morals, welfare and safety; now, therefore,
<br />
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,
<br />TEXAS:
<br />
<br />SECTION 1. That the Official zoning Map of the City, as
<br />described in section 3 of the General Zoning Ordinance, is hereby
<br />amended to rezone the following described real property located at
<br />317 Blanco Street, San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, which is
<br />presently zoned "R-1" single-Family Dwelling District (Low Density)
<br />to "P" Public and Institutional District:
<br />
<br />LOT 7, BLOCK 2 OF THE C. L. MCGEHEE SUBDIVISION AS
<br />RECORDED IN VOLUME H, PAGE 573 OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED
<br />RECORDS.
<br />
<br />
<br />SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (10)
<br />days from and after its passage and after it has been subject to
<br />reconsideration by the Council at its next regular meeting
<br />~ollowing its passage, and provided that the Council did not vote
<br />to reconsider it. If reconsidered on August 9, 1993 it shall be
<br />in effect ten days from and after its passage on that date if
<br />approved. It shall not go into effect if denied. If not
<br />reconsidered and approved it shall be published in a newspaper of
<br />general circulation in the area as required by the Charter of the
<br />City of San Marcos, Texas.

<br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 26th day of July, 1993,
<br />subject to reconsideration at the next regular City Council meeting
<br />scheduled for August 9, 1993 .
