<br /> §IP <br /> SAN MARCOS ELECTRIC UTILITY <br /> ELECTRIC RATE SCHEDULES <br /> MEDIUM GENERAL SERVICE <br /> Rate Schedule - MGS <br /> Effective: June 1, 1993 Page 1 <br /> <br /> The City of San Marcos (the "City") shall charge and collect for medium general service electric <br /> service on the basis of this Rate Schedule - MGS, The Power Cost Adjustment Clause and the <br /> City of San Marcos Electric Utility Rules and Regulations are incorporated by reference as a part <br /> of this rate schedule. <br /> AVAILABILITY <br /> This rate schedule is available throughout the entire territory served by the San Marcos Electric <br /> Utility System (the "City System"). <br /> APPLICABILITY <br /> This rate schedule is applicable to all electric service required by Customer for lighting, power <br /> and any other purpose, other than residential service as defined in Rate Sche~ule - RS, where <br /> the Customer's maximum metered kW demand is greater than 50 kW but less than 500 kW <br /> and for which no specific rate schedule is available. If the maximum metered kW demand is <br /> 500.0 kW or greater for any two months during any twelve month period, the City will transfer <br /> the Customer to the then applicable large general service rate schedule. <br /> This rate schedule is also applicable, at the City's option, to qualified Customers who require <br /> substantial portions of their electric power during the Off-Peak hours, as defined hereinafter. <br /> Prior to a Customer receiving service at the rates for Time Differentiated Service of this rate <br /> schedule, the City will investigate the Customer's load characteristics in order to determine if <br /> the rates for Time Differentiated Service may be advantageous to both the Customer and the <br /> City. If the City determines the Customer is qualified, special metering equipment will be <br /> installed to measure the Customer's On-Peak and Off-Peak period kW demands and the <br /> Customer will be required to execute a contract for Time Differentiated Service for a minimum <br /> term of twenty four (24) months. <br /> CHARACTER OF SERVICE <br /> Service under this rate schedule shall be alternating current, 60 Hertz, single phase, at the <br /> City's option of the standard voltages available from the City System. The City may, at its <br /> option, provide three phase service when individual motors rated at 5.0 horsepower or larger <br /> are connected to the City System. Standby or resale service is not permitted under this rate <br /> schedule. <br /> BILLING PERIODS <br /> For the purpose of the Time Differentiated Service of this rate schedule, On-Peak Periods shall <br /> be from 7:01 AM to 8:00 PM Monday through Friday. All other hours shall be designated as <br /> Off-Peak hours. <br />
