<br /> 5(1/ <br /> SAN MARCOS ELECTRIC UTILITY <br /> ELECTRIC RATE SCHEDULES <br /> MEDIUM GENERAL SERVICE <br /> Rate Schedule - MGS <br /> Effective: June 1, 1993 Page 3 <br /> <br /> DETERMINATION OF BILLING DEMAND <br /> Regular Service: <br /> The BILLING DEMAND each month for Regular Service shall be the greater of: <br /> a. the highest metered kW demand established during any 30 minute interval <br /> during the month; <br /> b. 65.0% of the highest kW demand established during any 30 minute interval <br /> during the immediately preceding 11 months; or <br /> c. 30 kW. <br /> Time Differentiated Service: <br /> The BILLING DEMAND each month for Time Differentiated Service during the On-Peak <br /> Periods shall be the greater of: . <br /> a. the highest metered kW demand established during any 30 minute interval <br /> during the On-Peak Periods of the month; <br /> b. 65.0% of the highest kW demand established during any 30 minute interval <br /> during the On-Peak Periods of the immediately preceding 11 months; or <br /> c. 30 kW. <br /> The BILLING DEMAND each month for Time Differentiated Service during the Off-Peak <br /> Periods shall be the difference between the highest metered kW demand established <br /> during any 30 minute interval during the Off-Peak Periods of the month and the BILLING <br /> DEMAND determined for the On-Peak Periods of the month. <br /> , <br /> POWER FACTOR ADJUSTMENT <br /> The monthly metered kW demand may be adjusted to an equivalent 90.0% power factor for <br /> the purpose of establishing the monthly BILLING DEMAND when the power factor at the point <br /> of delivery to the Customer is determined to be less than 90.0%. Such adjustment will be <br /> deferred for six (6) months at a new point of delivery to allow for corrective action by the <br /> Customer. <br />
