VERAMENDI <br />LEAGUE NUMBER 2, IN HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, <br />LOCATED AT 1005 RIVER ROAD FROM "R-1" SINGLE-' <br />FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT (LOW DENSITY) TO "MH" <br />. MOBILE HOME DISTRICT AND DECLARING AN <br />I EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on June 1, 1993 and July 6, 1993, the Zoning <br />commission of the city of San Marcos held public hearings <br />regarding a request to change the zoning from "R-1" Single-Family <br />Dwelling District (low density) to "MH" Mobile Home District for an <br />8.8526 acre tract of land, out of the J.M. Veramendi League Number <br />2, located at 1005 River Road; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the <br />Commission did, on July 6, 1993 consider the request and voted to <br />approve it and has recommended that the request be approved by the <br />City Council of the City; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on the27th <br />day of September, 1993, regarding the request; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, all requirements of Appendix A, General zoning <br />ordinance, of the Code of Ordinances of the city of San Marcos <br />pertaining to amendments have been met; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds and determines that the <br />adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the <br />public health, morals, welfare and safety; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Tha t the Official zoning Map of the city, as <br />described in section 3 of the General zoning Ordinance, is hereby <br />amended to rezone the following described real property located at <br />1005 River Road, San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, which is presently <br />zoned "R-1" Single-family Dwelling District (low density) to "MH" <br />Mobile Home District: <br /> <br />An 8.8526-acre tract out of the J.M. Veramendi League <br />Number 2, being part of the land conveyed to Sue Thomas <br />Thompson from W.H. Thompson by deed dated September 30, <br />1942, as recorded in Volume 125, Page 256, Deed Records <br />of Hays County, Texas, and more particularly described by <br />metes and bounds as follows: <br /> <br />BEGINNING at a concrete monument set in the northwest <br />line of a public road running from Martindale Road, <br />crossing the Blanco River at the K. K. & TRy. Co. <br />bridge, said concrete monument being 720 feet southwest <br />of the intersection of said northwest line with the <br />southwest line of Bugg Lane: <br /> <br />THENCE south 44 degrees and 52 minutes west along the <br />northw~st line of the public road a distance of 606.00 <br />feet to a steel rod; <br /> <br />THENCE north 45 degrees and 8 minutes west a distance of <br />648.69 feet to a steel rod; <br /> <br />THENCE north 44 degrees and 54 minutes east a distance of <br />583.20 feet to a concrete monument; <br /> <br />THENCE south 47 degrees and 9 minutes east a distance of <br />648.77 feet to the point of BEGINNING. <br />
