I 231<..

F. Treatment Alternatives.

Evaluate three future treatment and effluent discharge alternatives. Include
the following items in the evaluation of each alternative.

1. Based on projected wastewater quality and quantity, Owner
preferences, and the three treatment scenarios, identify alternatives to
meet the respective effluent criteria.

2. Identify type, number, capacity, size, and loading rate for major
process components.

3. Develop process flow schematics for each alternative showing
process components, pumping stations, and points of chemical feed.

4. Identify existing and potential areas of odor generation and
describe appropriate odor control measures to be provided.

5. Develop preliminary opinion of probable construction cost and
operation and maintenance costs.

6. Identify implementation schedule.

7. Prepare a working paper summarizing the information developed in
this task.

G. Evaluate Sludge Management Alternatives.

1. Evaluate sludge thickening processes for the primary sludge and
secondary sludge prior to stabilization.

2. Evaluate sludge stabilization processes and dewatering processes.

3. Review state and federal regulatory requirements and evaluate final
sludge disposal alternatives. It is anticipated that three alternatives
will be identified and evaluated.

4. Prepare preliminary opinion of probable construction cost and
operation and maintenance costs for the alternatives.

5. Prepare a working paper summarizing the information developed in
this task.

H. Effluent Reuse.

Evaluate the potential for effluent reuse.

1. Identify effluent requirements for various reuse options.

2. Discuss various options with the City and identify one option to be
evaluated.

3. Develop process flow schematic showing process components and
points of chemical feed.

06/02/93

A-4
