<br /> 68 <br /> . <br /> RESOLUTION 1993 - 207 R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF A GRANT <br /> APPLICATION TO THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF <br /> JUSTICE TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR THE HIRING OF A <br /> SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER FOR THE SAN MARCOS POLICE <br /> DEPARTMENT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACT ON <br /> THE CITY'S BEHALF WITH REGARD TO THE SUBMISSION OF <br /> THIS APPLICATION AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos wishes to submit an <br /> application for a grant from the U.S. Department of Justice <br /> under the police hiring supplement program for funds to hire <br /> a school resource officer; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. That the submission of an application to the <br /> U.S. Department of Justice for funds to hire a school <br /> resource officer, a copy of which is attached hereto and <br /> incorporated herein, is approved. . <br /> PART 2. That the City Manager, Larry D. Gilley, be and <br /> he is hereby authorized to execute and submit this grant <br /> application on the City's behalf. <br /> PART 3.
