ORDINANCE 1993- --22 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING THE BOUNDARIES OF ELECTION PRECINCT NOS. 113 AND 120 FOR CITY ELECTIONS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, changes in State Senatorial districts within the city and Hays County require corresponding changes in the city's election precinct boundaries for election precinct nos. 113 and 120; and, WHEREAS, the Hays County commissioners Court has adopted an order making the changes described in this ordinance to the Hays County election precinct map, and the city Council wishes to make identical changes to the City's election precinct map; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the boundaries of election precinct nos. 113 and 120 for city elections established in Ordinance 1992-7, adopted January 27, 1992, are amended to remove from elect10n precinct no. 120, and add to election precinct no. 113, the area shown as cross- hatched on the attached map. SECTION 2. That the importance of this Ordinance creates an emergency and an imperative public necessity so that the provisions of the Charter requiring that ordinances shall be presented at three separate meetings and that no ordinance shall become effective until the expiration of ten (10) days following the date of its final passage be suspended, and these provisions are hereby suspended, and this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after I its adoption and after its publication in a newspaper of general circulation within the city as provided by the City Charter of the City of San Marcos.
