II~~
Introduction
The City of San Marcos Municipal Court is located in San Marcos, Texas, 30 miles
south of Austin. The City has a population of approximately 35,000 and is the home of ~
Southwest Texas State University, with 21,000 registered students.
The court is currently operating from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through
- ~ Friday, and has a staff of four full-time employees and one part-time employee. The staff has
limited automation experience, but is eager to learn. This proposal addresses automating the
entire functions of the Municipal Court, including but not limited to, case entry, automatic
generation of forms and letters, docket scheduling, and reporting to the Texas Department of
Public Safety.
Judge Ross Allegro presides over the Municipal Court which meets the following days
of the week.
Day of W eek~~-~~- Time Action ~ .~-
Monday 2:00 - 3:00 Arraignment
3:00 - ?
