ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE AND SALE OF CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS, SERIES 1992, IN THE AGGREGATE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF $2,895,000; PRESCRIBING THE FORM OF SAID BONDS; PROVIDING FOR THE SECURITY FOR AND PAYMENT OF SAID BONDS; AWARDING THE SALE THEREOF; APPROVING THE OFFICIAL STATEMENT; ENACTING OTHER PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY WHEREAS, general obligation bonds of the City of San Marcos, Texas (the "City"), were duly and favorably voted pursuant to the Constitution and laws of the State of Texas, at elections held in the City on the dates hereinafter set forth; and the following are among the purposes and amounts of the bonds which were authorized, together with the total amount previously issued pursuant to each voted authorization, the amount therefrom being issued pursuant to this Ordinance, and the balance to remain unissued after the issuance of the bonds hereinafter authorized, to-wit: Total Amount * Amount * Amount * Election Amount * Previously Being Remaining Date Purpose Authorized Issued Issued Unissued 04/07/84 Streets and $4,000 $3,580 $420 $-0- Drainage Library 450 175 275 -0- 09/08/90 Fire Fighting 435 370 65 -0- Equipment and Facilities Central Library 2,135 -0- 2,135 -0- *Amounts in thousands. WHEREAS, this City Council finds and determines thélt it is necessary and in the best interest of the City and its citizens at this time to authorize the issuance and delivery of $2,895,000 of such bonds in a single issue, in accordance with the Constitution and laws of the State of Texas, including Article 1175, V.A.T.C.S., and the Home Rule Charter of the City; Now, Therefore BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS:
