I <br /> THE ISSUANCE OF $4,600,000 966 VOTES: FOR <br /> GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS FOR <br /> STREET AND DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS 629 VOTES: AGAINST <br /> PROPOSITION NO. 2 <br /> THE ISSUANCE OF $4,500,000 GENERAL 543 VOTES: FOR <br /> OBLIGATION BONDS FOR MULTI-PURPOSE <br /> COMMUNITY/CONVENTION CENTER 1,038 VOTES: AGAINST <br /> PROPOSITION NO. 3 <br /> THE ISSUANCE OF $200,000 AIRPORT 723 VOTES: FOR <br /> REVENUE BONDS FOR CONSTRUCTING <br /> AND EQUIPPING AIRCRAFT HANGARS 844 VOTES: AGAINST <br /> <br /> Section 4. Bonds Authorized. <br /> As a result of said election, and in conformity with law, this <br /> City Council is authorized to issue the bonds of and on behalf of <br /> the City in the amounts and for the purposes mentioned in the <br /> propositions set forth in the proceedings calling said election, as <br /> and to the extent hereinabove provided as having been approved by <br /> the resident qualified electors of the City voting at said election. <br /> Section 5. Public Meetinq. <br /> <br /> It is officially found, determined, and declared that the <br /> meeting at which this Ordinance has been adopted was open to the <br /> public and public notice of the time, place and subject matter of <br /> the public business to be considered and acted upon at said meeting, <br /> including this Ordinance was given, all as required by the <br /> applicable provisions of Article 6252-17, Vernon's Texas Civil <br /> Statutes, as amended. <br /> Section 6. Emerqencv Declaration. <br /> <br /> The public importance of this measure and the fact that it is <br /> to the interest of the City and its inhabitants to provide funds for <br /> the purposes herein contemplated at the earliest possible date for <br /> the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety <br /> constitute an emergency and an imperative public necessity, <br /> requiring that this Ordinance take effect and be in full force <br /> immediately upon its passage; all ordinance and/or Charter rules <br /> requiring ordinances to be read on three (3) several days are hereby <br /> dispensed with for the purpose of adopting this Ordinance as an <br /> emergency ordinance; and this Ordinance shall take effect and be in <br /> full force and effect from and after its final passage as provided <br /> by the Charter of said City. <br /> 4304f/12 <br />
