<br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
<br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF
<br /> THE CITY BY ZONING LOT 73 OF THE SOUTH END ADDITION
<br /> TO THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AS RECORDED IN
<br /> VOLUME 55, PAGE 601 OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS,
<br /> LOCATED AT 701 GEORGIA STREET FROM "M" SINGLE
<br /> FAMILY, DUPLEX, AND NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS DISTRICT
<br /> TO "P" PUBLIC AND INSTITUTIONAL DISTRICT AND
<br /> DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br /> WHEREAS, on December 17, 1991, the Zoning Commission of the
<br /> City of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to
<br /> change the zoning from "M" Single-Family, Duplex and Neighborhood
<br /> District to "P" Public and Institutional District for Lot 73 of the
<br /> South End Addition to the City of San Marcos, Hays County, Texas,
<br /> as recorded in Volume 55, Page 601 of the Hays County Deed Records,
<br /> located at 701 Georgia Street.
<br /> WHEREAS, subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the
<br /> Zoning Commission did, on December 17, 1991 consider the request
<br /> and voted to approve it and has recommended that the request be
<br /> approved by the City Council of the City; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on the 8th
<br /> day of June , 1992, regarding the request; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, all requirements of Appendix A, General Zoning
<br /> Ordinance, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos
<br /> pertaining to amendments have been met; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds and determines that the
<br /> adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the
<br /> public health, morals, welfare and safety; now, therefore,
<br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,
<br /> TEXAS:
<br /> SECTION 1. That the Official Zoning Map of the City, as
<br /> described in section 3 of the General Zoning Ordinance is hereby
<br /> amended to rezone the following described real property located in
<br /> San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, which is presently zoned "M"
<br /> Single-Family, Duplex, and Neighborhood Business District to "P"
<br /> Public and Institutional District:
<br /> LOT 73 OF THE SOUTH END ADDITION TO THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS
<br /> AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 55, PAGE 601 OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED
<br /> RECORDS.
<br /> SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (10)
<br /> days from and after its passage and after it has been subject to
<br /> reconsideration by the Council at its next regular meeting
<br /> following its passage, and providing that the Council did not vote
<br /> to reconsider it. If reconsidered on June 22, 1992 it shall be
<br /> in effect ten days from and after its passage on that date if
<br /> approved. It shall not go into effect if denied. If not
<br /> reconsidered and approved it shall be published in a newspaper of
<br /> general circulation in the area as required by the Charter of the
<br /> City of San Marcos, Texas.
<br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 8th day of June , 1992,
<br /> subject to reconsideration at the next regular City Council meeting
<br /> scheduled for June 22, 1992
