<br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
<br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF
<br /> THE CITY BY ZONING PARTS OF LOTS 18 AND 29, OUT OF
<br /> THE A.M. RAMSEY ADDITION, CONSISTING OF 0.22 ACRES
<br /> OF LAND MORE OR LESS IN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,
<br /> TEXAS, LOCATED AT 309 MILL STREET FROM "M" SINGLE-
<br /> FAMILY, DUPLEX, AND NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS DISTRICT
<br /> TO "R-1" SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT (LOW
<br /> DENSITY) AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br /> WHEREAS, on January 7,1992, the Zoning commission of the City
<br /> of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change
<br /> the zoning from "M" Single-family, Duplex, and Neighborhood
<br /> Business District to "R-1" Single-Family Dwelling District (Low
<br /> Density) for parts of Lots 18 and 29 of the A.M. Ramsay Addition,
<br /> consisting of .22 acres of the Hays County Deed Records, located at
<br /> 309 Mill Street.
<br /> WHEREAS, subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the
<br /> Commission did, on January 7, 1992 consider the request and voted
<br /> to approve it and has recommended that the request be approved by
<br /> the City Council of the City; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on the 8th
<br /> day of June , 1992, regarding the request; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, all requirements of Appendix A, General Zoning
<br /> Ordinance, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos
<br /> pertaining to amendments have been met; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds and determines that the
<br /> adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the
<br /> public health, morals, welfare and safety; now, therefore,
<br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,
<br /> TEXAS:
<br /> SECTION 1. That the Official Zoning Map of the City, as
<br /> described in Section 3 of the General Zoning Ordinance, is hereby
<br /> amended to rezone the following described real property located in
<br /> San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, which is presently zoned "M"
<br /> Single-family, Duplex, and Neighborhood Business District to "R-1"
<br /> Single-family Dwelling District (Low Density):
<br /> Portions of Lots Nos. Eighteen (18) and Twenty-nine (29) of
<br /> the A.M. Ramsay Subdivision in the City of San Marcos, Hays
<br /> County, Texas, as per map or plat of said subdivision of
<br /> record in Volume 89, Page 479, Hays County Deed Records, the
<br /> exact portions of said lots being described by metes and
<br /> bounds as follows: BEGINNING at the South corner of said
<br /> Lot No. 18, at the intersection of the Northwest line of
<br /> Mill Street with the Northeast line of Third Street;
<br /> THENCE with said Northwest line of Mill Street in a
<br /> Northeasterly direction sixty feet to a point in said line
<br /> for the South and beginning corner of that parcel of land
<br /> hereby conveyed;
<br /> THENCE continuing with said Northwest line of Mill Street in
<br /> a Northeasterly direction sixty feet to a point in said line
<br /> for the East corner of the parcel of land hereby conveyed;
<br /> THENCE at right angle to said last call, in a Northwesterly
<br /> direction and parallel with the Northeast lines of said Lots
<br /> Nos. 18 and 29, one hundred sixty feet to a point in the
<br /> Northwest line of said Lot No. 29 for the North corner of
<br />
