ORDINANCE 1992- 41 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING LOT 82 OF THE SOUTH END ADDITION TO THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 55, PAGE 601 OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, LOCATED AT 701 GEORGIA STREET FROM "R-1" SINGLE FAMILY DISTRICT (LOW DENSITY) TO "P" PUBLIC DISTRICT AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, on February 4, 1992, the Zoning commission of the City of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change the zoning from "R-1" Single-Family Dwelling District (Low Density) to "P" Public District for Lot 82 of the South End Additio to the City of San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, as recorded in Volume 55, Page 601 of the Hays County Deed Records, located at 701 Georgia Street; and, WHEREAS, subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Zoning Commission did, on February 4,1992 consider the request and voted to approve it and has recommended that the request be approved by the City Council of the City; and, WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on the 8th day of June , 1992, regarding the request; and, WHEREAS, all requirements of Appendix A, General Zoning Ordinance, of the Code of Ordinances of the city of San Marcos pertaining to amendments have been met; and, WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Official Zoning Map of the City, as described in Section 3 of the General Zoning Ordinance is hereby amended to rezone the following described real property located in San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, which is presently zoned "R-1" Single-family Dwelling District (Low Density) to "P" Public District: LOT 82 OF THE SOUTH END ADDITION TO THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 55, PAGE 601 OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS. SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (10) days from and after its passage and after it has been subject to reconsideration by the Council at its next regular meeting following its passage, and providing that the Council did not vote to reconsider it. If reconsidered on June 22, 1992 it shall be in effect ten days from and after its passage on that date if approved. It shall not go into effect if denied. If not reconsidered and approved it shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the area as required by the Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 8th day of June , 1992, subject to reconsideration at the next regular City Council meeting scheduled for June 22, 1992 . Reconsidered yes no X
