89 RESOLUTION 1992 - 75 R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS ACKNOWLEDGING REVIEW OF AN ENVIRONMENTAL AUDIT REPORT REGARDING THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT; AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF THE REPORT TO THE U.S. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY; DESCRIBING CERTAIN ACTIONS TO BE TAKEN REGARDING THE PLANT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: PART 1. That the City Council acknowledges its review of the Environmental Audit report regarding the City Wastewater Treatment Plant dated June 2, 1992 prepared by the Department of Public Works, a copy of which is attached to this resolution. PART 2. That the Public Works Director, George Boeker, is hereby authorized to submit the Environmental Audit Report to the United States Environmental Protection Agency on behalf of the City. PART 3. That the following actions are projected to be taken in the future regarding the Wastewater Treatment Plant: (a) Bonds approved for plant upgrade ($1,8ØØ,ØØØ) are projected for use in 1994 but will be used as required. (b) Video inspection of sewer lines and Phase I Collection System Rehabilitation ($975,ØØØ) projected for 1993 in proposed CIP with funding levels for Phase II Collection System Rehabilitation ($25Ø,ØØØ) for 1994 and Phase III Collection System Rehabilitation ($153,ØØØ) for 1995. (c) Additional personnel proposed in 1992-93 budget for Industrial Pretreatment Program. (d) Commitment to 1% ($8,548) of budget for Training/Professional Development which would be an increase of $3,Ø98 from the present level of $5,45Ø. PART 4.
