<br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
<br /> OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL
<br /> ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING LOTS 4A AND
<br /> 8A, BLOCK 4, G.A. McNAUGHTON ADDITION, A
<br /> REPLAT OF LOTS 2A, 2B, 3A, 8 AND 9 AND A
<br /> PORTION OF LOT 4, BLOCK 4 OF THE G.A.
<br /> McNAUGHTON ADDITION, TO THE CITY OF SAN
<br /> MARCOS, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, AS RECORDED IN
<br /> VOLUME 5, PAGE 315 OF THE HAYS COUNTY PLAT
<br /> RECORDS, LOCATED AT 1008-1014 ACADEMY STREET
<br /> AND 308-310 SESSOMS DRIVE FROM "R-1" SINGLE-
<br /> FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT (LOW DENSITY) TO "LB"
<br /> LIMITED BUSINESS DISTRICT AND DECLARING AN
<br /> EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br /> WHEREAS, on March 19, 1991, the Zoning commission of the City
<br /> of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change
<br /> the zoning from "R-1" Single-Family Dwelling District (Low Dens.ity)
<br /> to "LB" Limited Business District for Lots 4A and 8A, Block 4,
<br /> G.A. McNaughton Addition, a replat of Lots 2A, 2B, 3A, 8 and 9 and
<br /> a portion of Lot 4, Block 4 of the G.A. McNaughton Addition to the
<br /> City of San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, as recorded in Volume 5,
<br /> Page 315 of the Hays County Plat Records, located at 1008-1014
<br /> Academy and 308-310 Sessoms Drive.
<br /> WHEREAS, subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the
<br /> Commission did, on March 19,1991 consider the request and voted to
<br /> approve it and has recommended that the request be approved by the
<br /> City Council of the City; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on the 10th
<br /> day of August , 1992, regarding the request; and,
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, all requirements of Appendix A, General Zoning
<br /> Ordinance, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos
<br /> pertaining to amendments have been met; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds and determines that the
<br /> adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the
<br /> public health, morals, welfare and safety; now, therefore,
<br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,
<br /> TEXAS:
<br /> SECTION 1. That the Official Zoning Map of the City, as
<br /> described in section 3 of the General Zoning Ordinance is hereby
<br /> amended to rezone the following described real property located in
<br /> San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, which is presently zoned "R-1"
<br /> Single-Family Dwelling District (Low Density) to "LB" Limited
<br /> Business District:
<br /> LOTS 4A AND 8A, BLOCK 4, G.A. MCNAUGHTON ADDITION, A
<br /> REPLAT OF LOTS 2A, 2B, 3A, 8 AND 9 AND A PORTION OF LOT
<br /> 4, BLOCK 4 OF THE G.A. McNAUGHTON ADDITION TO THE CITY OF
<br /> SAN MARCOS, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 5,
<br /> PAGE 315 OF THE HAYS COUNTY PLAT RECORDS.
<br /> SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (10)
<br /> days from and after its passage and after it has been subject to
<br /> reconsideration by the Council at its next regular meeting
<br /> following its passage, and providing that the Council did not vote
<br /> to reconsider it. If reconsidered on August 24, 1992 it shall be
<br /> in effect ten days from and after its passage on that date if
<br /> approved. It shall not go into effect if denied. If not
<br /> reconsidered and approved it shall be published in a newspaper of
<br /> general circulation in the area as required by the Charter of the
<br /> city of San Marcos, Texas.
