'" ~ 146 <r - ORDINANCE NO.1 99 2 - ...5..5- AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING THE CITY BUDGET ORDINANCE FOR THE 1991-1992 FISCAL YEAR TO TRANSFER FUNDING FOR CONTINUOUS PROPERTY SOFTWARE AND TRANSITION COSTS FROM THE ELECTRIC UTILITY OPERATING FUND TO THE ELECTRIC UTILITY CIP FUND~ AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, after publication of notice on July 21, 1991, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, held a public hearing on August 12, 1991, on the budget proposed by the City Manager for said City for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1991~ and, WHEREAS, at the public hearing all interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard for or against any item or the amount of any item therein contained~ and, WHEREAS, after this public hearing, the City Council adopted the budget for the City for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1991 and ending on September 30, 1992, on September 9, 1991~ and, WHEREAS, this budget set forth itemized estimates of the expense of conducting the San Marcos municipal government for that fiscal year and appropriated money for the various funds and purposes of such estimate~ and, \vHEREAS, in accordance with Section 8.16 of the City Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas, the City Council declares that a public necessity exists which requires amendment of the budget~ now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS ~ TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Budget Ordinance for the 1991-1992 Fiscal Year is hereby amended as set forth in the attached Exhibit A, in order to transfer funding for continuous property software and transition costs from the Electric Utility Operating Fund to the Electric Utility CIP Fund. SECTION 2. That these revisions and reappropriations which shall be the amended budget for the City of San Marcos, Texas, for the fiscal year 1991-1992 beginning October 1, 1991 and ending on September 30, 1992, are hereby approved and adopted. SECTION 3. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (lØ) days from and after its passage, and it shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the area as required by the Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas.
