<br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
<br /> OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND
<br /> USE MAP OF THE MASTER PLAN OF THE CITY, FROM
<br /> COMMERCIAL, INDUSTRIAL AND HIGH DENSITY
<br /> RESIDENTIAL TO COMMERCIAL FOR 55.00 ACRES OF
<br /> LAND OUT OF THE EDWARD BURLESON SURVEY NO. 18,
<br /> A-63 BEING A PORTION OF THAT 995 ACRE TRACT OF
<br /> LAND CONVEYED TO LOWMAN RANCH, LTD. BY GRACE
<br /> B. LOWMAN BY DEED DATED JUNE 3, 1967 AND
<br /> RECORDED IN VOLUME 218, PAGE 594 OF THE HAYS
<br /> COUNTY DEED RECORDS, LOCATED ON THE EAST SIDE
<br /> OF THE 4000 BLOCK OF IH-35 SOUTH AND DECLARING
<br /> AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br /> WHEREAS, on July 28, 1992, the Joint Planning and Zoning
<br />Commissions of the City of San Marcos held a public hearing
<br />regarding a request to amend the Future Land Use Map of the Master
<br />Plan from Commercial, Industrial and High Density Residential to
<br />Commercial for 55.00 acres of land out of the Edward Burleson
<br />Survey No. 18, A-63 being a portion of that 995 acre tract of land
<br />conveyed to Lowman Ranch, Ltd. by Grace B. Lowman by deed dated
<br />June 3, 1967 and recorded in Volume 218, Page 594 of the Hays
<br />County Deed Records, located on the east side of the 4000 block of
<br />IH-35 South; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the
<br />Commissions did, on July 28, 1992, consider the request and voted
<br />to approve it and have recommended that the request be approved by
<br />the City Council of the City; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council helð a public hearing on the24th day
<br />of August , 1992, regarding the request; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, all requirements of the Master Plan pertaining to
<br />amendments have been met; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds and determines that the
<br />adoption of the following resolution is in the interest of the
<br />public, health, morals, welfare and safety; now, therefore,
<br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,
<br />TEXAS:
<br /> PART 1. That the following described tract of real property
<br />located on the East Side of the 4000 Block of IH-35 South,
<br />San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, which is in an area shown on the
<br />Future Land Use Map of the Master Plan of the City of San Marcos as
<br />Commercial, Industrial and High Density Residential shall be shown
<br />on that map as Commercial:
