Estimated total tonage into the San Marcos landfill equals 80 <br /> tons pe r day. <br /> 3. San Marcos Collection system includes: 5 rear loaders <br /> 3 side loaders <br /> 2 fl a t beds <br /> 555 containers <br /> 4. San Marcos Disposal system includes: 1 track loader <br /> 1 trash compactor <br /> 5. The region to be served by a new landfill was generally described <br /> as a 10 mile radius around Martindale plus other communities (e.g. <br /> Buda, Wimberley) which could utilize the site. Total tonage was <br /> estimated at 116 tons per day. Census and landfill survey infor- <br /> mation was used in the tonage estimates. San Marcos constitutes <br /> 45% of the Regional population served. <br /> 6. An example of the development cost estimate used to determine <br /> annual costs is as follows (MARTINDALE site): <br /> Land Cost $160,000. <br /> Start up Cost <br /> Road $60,000. <br /> Weighing Equipment & <br /> Storage Building 50,000. <br /> Fencing 30,000. <br /> Earthwork 40,000. <br /> Testing 5,000. <br /> Operating Equipment 150,000. $335,000. <br /> Permit Cost <br /> Engineer $40,000. <br /> Legal 25,000. $ 65,000. <br /> Bonding Cost $ 10, 000. <br /> Interim Financing $ 50,000. <br /> $620,000. <br /> Contengencies <br /> (5~%) 30,000. <br /> $650,000. <br /> PAGE -4- <br />
