<br /> l23 <br /> Regular Meeting February 14, 1983 Page 5 <br /> AYE: Brown, Farr, Kreczmer, Craddock, Moore. <br /> NAY: Norris. <br /> ABSTAIN: None. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration the adoption of an Ordin- <br /> ance on third and final reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE <br /> WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE <br /> OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED SEPTEMBER <br /> 29, 1980 (VOL. 54) BY ZONING 0.23 OF AN ACRE OF LAND <br /> OUT OF THE J. M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO. 1 IN HAYS COUNTY, <br /> TEXAS, A/K/A 2101 HUNTER ROAD, FROM "AO" (AGRICULTURAL- <br /> OPEN SPACE DISTRICT) TO "LI" (LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT). <br /> Mr. Kreczmer moved to table the Ordinance and Mrs. Norris seconded <br /> the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration the adoption of a Resolu- <br /> tion, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING A JOINT ELECTION AGREEMENT <br /> BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AND THE SAN <br /> MARCOS CONSOLIDATED INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR <br /> THE HOLDING OF AN ELECTION ON APRIL 2, 1983; AUTHOR- <br /> IZING THE þßYOR OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT <br /> ON BEHALF OF SAID CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> Mrs. Norris moved for the adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Kreczmer <br /> seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration the adoption of a Resolu- <br /> tion, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, ORGANIZING AND APPROVING A SESQUICEN- <br /> TENNIAL COORDINATING COMMITTEE IN SAID CITY AND DE- <br /> CLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> Mrs. Norris moved for the adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Moore se- <br /> conded the motion. Gordon Hyatt addressed the Council stating there was <br /> a need to begin the Sesquicentennial Committee and that Mrs. Tula Mae <br /> Wyatt, Sr., who would serve as an honorary member of the Committee, was <br /> present at the meeting. He then asked for the support of the community. <br /> The Council voted unanimously in favor of the Resolution. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration the adoption of a Resolu- <br /> tion, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING FINAL PAYMENT TO W. H. HOLLUB <br /> CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC. OF SEGUIN, TEXAS, FOR GEN- <br /> ERAL CONSTRUCTION WORK ON THE BISHOP STREET PAVING AND <br /> DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT; ACCEPTING SAID CONSTRUC- <br /> TION FOR USE BY SAID CITY; AUTHORIZING FINAL PAYMENT IN <br /> THE AMOUNT OF $21,830.01 AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE <br /> DATE. <br /> Mr. Farr moved for the adoption of the Resolution and Mrs. Norris se- <br /> conded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />
