<br /> ORDINANCE 1992-73
<br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
<br /> OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL
<br /> ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING BLOCK 6, LOT
<br /> 2 OF THE BLANCO GARDENS SUBDIVISION IN THE
<br /> CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AS RECORDED IN
<br /> VOLUME 1, PAGE 1 OF THE HAYS COUNTY PLAT
<br /> RECORDS, LOCATED AT 1302 BARBARA DRIVE FROM
<br /> "R-l" SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT (LOW
<br /> DENSITY) AND "CII COMMERCIAL DISTRICT TO "R-l"
<br /> SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT (LOW DENSITY)
<br /> AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br /> WHEREAS, on August 4, 1992, the Zoning Commission of the City
<br /> of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change
<br /> the zoning from "R-1" Single-Family Dwelling District (Low Density)
<br /> and "C" Commercial District to IIR-1" Single-Family Dwelling
<br /> District (Low Density) for Block 6, Lot 2 of the Blanco Gardens
<br /> Subdivision as recorded in Volume 1, Page 1 of the Hays County
<br /> Plat Records, located at 1302 Barbara Drive; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the
<br /> zoning commission did, on August 4, 1992 consider the request and
<br /> voted to approve it and has recommended that the request be
<br /> approved by the City Council of the city; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, the city Council held a public hearing on the 9th
<br /> day of November , 1992, regarding the request; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, all requirements of Appendix A, General Zoning
<br /> Ordinance, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos
<br /> pertaining to amendments have been met; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, the city Council hereby finds and determines that the
<br /> adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the
<br /> public health, morals, welfare and safety; now, therefore,
<br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,
<br /> TEXAS:
<br /> SECTION 1. That the Official Zoning Map of the City, as
<br /> described in section 3 of the General Zoning Ordinance is hereby
<br /> amended to rezone the following described real property located in
<br /> San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, which is presently zoned "R-l"
<br /> Single-Family Dwelling District (Low Density) and "C" Commercial
<br /> District to "R-1" Single-Family Dwelling District (Low
<br /> Densi ty):
<br /> BLOCK 6, LOT 2 OF THE BLANCO GARDENS SUBDIVISION IN THE
<br /> CITY OF SAN MARCOS AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 1, PAGE 1 OF THE
<br /> HAYS COUNTY PLAT RECORDS.
<br /> SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (10)
<br /> days from and after its passage and after it has been subject to
<br /> reconsideration by the Council at its next regular meeting
<br /> following its passage, and providing that the Council did not vote
<br /> to reconsider it. If reconsidered on November 23, 1992it shall be
<br /> in effect ten days from and after its passage on that date if
<br /> approved. It shall not go into effect jf denied. If not
<br /> reconsidered and approved it shall be published in a newspaper of
<br /> general circulation in the area as required by the Charter of the
<br /> City of San Marcos, Texas.
<br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 9th day of November, 1992,
<br /> subject to reconsideration at the next regular City council meeting
<br /> scheduled for November 23, 1992.
