<br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
<br /> OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL
<br /> ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING LOT 23, OF
<br /> THE SOUTH END ADDITION TO THE CITY OF SAN
<br /> MARCOS, TEXAS AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 601, PAGE
<br /> 55 OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, LOCATED AT
<br /> 504 ALABAMA FROM "M" SINGLE-FAMILY, DUPLEX AND
<br /> NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS DISTRICT TO "R-2"
<br /> SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT (MEDIUM
<br /> DENSITY) AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br /> WHEREAS, on September 1, 1992, the Zoning Commission of the
<br /> city of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to
<br /> change the zoning from "M" Single-Family, Duplex and Neighborhood
<br /> Business District to "R-2" single-Family Dwelling District (Medium
<br /> Density) for Lot 23, of the South End Addition to the City of San
<br /> Marcos as recorded in Volume 601, Page 55 of the Hays County Deed
<br /> Records, located at 504 Alabama; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the
<br /> zoning commission did, on September 1, 1992 consider the request
<br /> and voted to approve it and has recommended that the request be
<br /> approved by the City Council of the city; and,
<br /> _.
<br /> WHEREAS, the city Council held a public hearing on the 9th
<br /> day of November , 1992, regarding the request; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, all requirements of Appendix A, General Zoning
<br /> Ordinance, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos
<br /> pertaining to amendments have been met; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds and determines that the
<br /> adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the
<br /> public health, morals, welfare and safety; now, therefore,
<br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,
<br /> TEXAS:
<br /> SECTION 1. That the Official Zoning Map of the City, as
<br /> described in section 3 of the General Zoning Ordinance is hereby
<br /> amended to rezone the following described real property located in
<br /> San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, which is presently zoned "M"
<br /> Single-Family Duplex and Neighborhood Business District to "R-2"
<br /> Single-Family Dwelling District (Medium Density):
<br /> LOT 23 OF THE SOUTH END ADDITION TO THE CITY OF SAN
<br /> MARCOS AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 601, PAGE 55, OF THE HAYS
<br /> COUNTY DEED RECORDS.
<br /> SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (10)
<br /> days from and after its passage and after it has been subject to
<br /> reconsideration by the Council at its next regular meeting
<br /> following its passage, and providing that the Council did not vote
<br /> to reconsider it. If reconsidered on November 23, 1992it shall be
<br /> in effect ten days from and after its passage on that date if
<br /> approved. It shall not go into effect '.ç: denied. If not

<br /> reconsidered and approved it shall be published in a newspaper of
<br /> general circulation in the area as required by the Charter of the
<br /> City of San Marcos, Texas.
<br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 9th day of November, 1992,
<br /> subject to reconsideration at the next regular City Council meeting
<br /> scheduled for November 23, 1992 .
