Q~ c:r- ~Š 113 er- ..-I ~:.1! fú8 ~- .'Ii = §! :.J'b ii?J\ 1-- Cl';)15 <....) 5B êl c::> ORDINANCE 1992- -.1J AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING 42.47 ACRES TO THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, LOCATED AT THE 1800-2000 BLOCKS OF AIRPORT DRIVE FROM UNZONED TO "P" PUBLIC AND INSTITUTIONAL DISTRICT AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, on September 1, 1992, the Zoning Commission of the City of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change the zoning from Unzoned to liP" Public and Institutional District for 42.47 acres located at 1800-2000 Blocks of Airport Drive; and, WHEREAS, subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Zoning Commission did, on September 1, 1992 consider the request and voted to approve it and has recommended that the request be approved by the city Council of the City; and, WHEREAS, the city Council held a public hearing on the 9th day of November , 1992, regarding the request; and, ~ WHEREAS, all requirements of Appendix A, General Zoning Ordinance, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos pertaining to amendments have been met; and, WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: ¡ SECTION 1. That the Official Zoning Map of the city, as described in section 3 of the General Zoning Ordinance is hereby amended to zone the following described real property located in San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, which is presently unzoned, to lip" Public and Institutional District: A tract of land being that part of the Job Corps site located south of and adjacent to the aircraft apron of the San Marcos Airport, Caldwell County, Texas. This tract is more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the end point of the twenty-fourth call of the field notes of the 1303.055 acres tract conveyed by the united States of America to the city of San Marcos by that deed dated 14 February 1966, filed 18 February 1966, and recorded 21 February 1966 in Volume 31, pages 4632 et sq. of the deed records of Caldwell County. This point, which was found marked with a 1/2 inch diameter iron bar (point 827), bears South 57 degrees 59 minutes 31 seconds East a distance of 711.14 feet from the West Reference Mark, and South 67 degrees 21 minutes 51 seconds West a distance of 977.73 feet from the East Reference Mark. Thence, from the point of beginning, South 89 degrees 58 minutes 32 seconds East along the south line of the San Marcos Airport and the north line of the Gary Job Corps Center as described in the field notes of that 20.751 acre tract recorded in Volume 376, pages 257, et sqq. a distance of 787.45 feet to a 1/2 inch diameter iron bar point 814) found in place; Thence, North 00 degrees 04 minutes 44 seconds East along an east line of the San Marcos Airport and a west line of the Gary Job Corps Center as described in the field notes of the said 20.751 acres tract a distance of 152.61 feet
