ORDINANCE NO. 2013-24 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE <br />FUTURE LAND USE MAP FROM "LDR" LOW DENSITY <br />RESIDENTIAL TO "P" PUBLIC FOR A 2.01 ACRE, MORE OR <br />LESS, TRACT OF LAND, BEING LOT 1 OF THE CRADDOCK <br />AVENUE SUBDIVISION LOCATED IN THE 1100 BLOCK OF <br />CRADDOCK AVENUE; AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING <br />MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING THIS TRACT FROM "SF -6" <br />SINGLE - FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT TO "P" PUBLIC <br />AND INSTITUTIONAL DISTRICT; AND INCLUDING <br />PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS. <br />RECITALS: <br />1. On March 26, 2013, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of San Marcos <br />held public hearings regarding a request to change the City's Future Land Use Map from "LDR" <br />Low Density Residential to "P" Public, and a concurrent request to change the zoning from "SF- <br />6" Single- Family Residential District to "P" Public and Institutional District, for a 2.01 acre, <br />more or less, tract of land, being Lot 1 of the Craddock Avenue Subdivision located in the 1100 <br />block of Craddock Avenue. <br />2. Subsequent to the public hearings on that date, the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />considered the requests on March 26, 2013, and voted to recommend that the requests be <br />approved by the City Council of the City. <br />3. The City Council held a public hearing on April 16, 2013 regarding the requests. <br />4. All requirements of Chapter 1, Development Procedures, of the City Land <br />Development Code pertaining to Future Land Use Map Amendments and Zoning Map <br />amendments have been met. <br />5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of the following <br />ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />SECTION 1. The City's Future Land Use Map is revised to change the future land use <br />designation for the following real property from "LDR" Low Density Residential to "P" Public: <br />Street address: 1100 Block of Craddock Avenue <br />Size: 2.01 acres, more or less <br />
