<br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
<br /> OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL
<br /> ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING LOTS 1-6, OF
<br /> THE ORIGINAL ARRANGEMENT OF BLOCK 2 OF BROWNS
<br /> SUBDIVISION IN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS,
<br /> AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 2, PAGE 387 OF THE HAYS
<br /> COUNTY PLAT RECORDS, LOCATED AT 1301-1308
<br /> CONWAY DRIVE FROM liCit COMMERCIAL DISTRICT TO
<br /> "DP-2" TWO-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT (MEDIUM
<br /> DENSITY) AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br /> WHEREAS, on September 1, 1992, the zoning commission of the
<br /> City of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to
<br /> change the zoning from tiC" Commercial District to "DP-2" Two-Family
<br /> Dwelling District (Medium Density) for Lots 1-6, of the original
<br /> Arrangement of Block 2 of Brown's Subdivision in the city of San
<br /> Marcos as recorded in Volume 2, Page 387 of the Hays County Plat
<br /> Records, located at 1301-1308 Conway Drive; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the
<br /> zoning commission did, on September 1, 1992 consider the request
<br /> and voted to approve it and has recommended that~the request be
<br /> approved by the city Council of the City; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, the city Council held a public hearing on the 9th
<br /> day of November , 1992, regarding the request; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, all requirements of Appendix A, General Zoning
<br /> ordinance, of the Code of Ordinances of the city of San Marcos
<br /> pertaining to amendments have been met; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, the city Council hereby finds and determines that the
<br /> adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the
<br /> public health, morals, welfare and safety; now, therefore,
<br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,
<br /> TEXAS:
<br /> SECTION 1. That the Official zoning Map of the City, as
<br /> described in section 3 of the General Zoning Ordinance is hereby
<br /> amended to rezone the following described real property located in
<br /> San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, which is presently zoned "C"
<br /> Commercial District to "DP-2" Two-Family Dwelling District (Medium
<br /> Density):
<br /> LOTS 1-6, OF THE ORIGINAL ARRANGEMENT OF BLOCK 2 OF
<br /> BROWN'S SUBDIVISION IN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AS
<br /> RECORDED IN VOLUME 2, PAGE 387 OF THE HAYS COUNTY PLAT
<br /> RECORDS.
<br /> SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (10)
<br /> days from and after its passage and after it has been subject to
<br /> reconsideration by the Council at its -next regular meeting
<br /> following its passage, and providing that the Council did not vote
<br /> to reconsider it. If reconsidered on November 23, 1992it shall be
<br /> in effect ten days from and after its passage on that date if
<br /> approved. It shall not go into effect if denied. If not
<br /> reconsidered and approved it shall be published in a newspaper of
<br /> general circulation in the area as required by the Charter of the
<br /> city of San Marcos, Texas.
<br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 9th day of November , 1992,
<br /> subject to reconsideration at the next regular city Council meeting
<br /> scheduled for November 23, 1992 .
