<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
<br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL
<br />ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING LOT 14 IN THE
<br />WEATHERFORD SUBDIVISION #2 IN THE CITY OF SAN
<br />MARCOS, TEXAS AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 132, PAGE,
<br />250 OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, LOCATED
<br />AT 804 GEORGIA STREET FROM "M" SINGLE-FAMILY,
<br />DUPLEX AND NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS DISTRICT AND
<br />"R-l" SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT (LOW
<br />DENSITY) TO 1IR-l" SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING
<br />DISTRICT (LOW DENSITY) AND DECLARING AN
<br />EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, on October 6,1992, the Zoning Commissio~ of the City
<br />of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change
<br />the zoning from "M" single-Family, Duplex and Neighborhood Business
<br />District and "R-1" (Single-Family Dwelling District (Low Density)
<br />to "R-1" Single-Family Dwelling District (Medium Density)' for Lot
<br />14 in the Weatherford Subdivision #2 in the city of San Marcos as
<br />recorded in Volume 132, Page 250 of the Hays County Deed Records,
<br />located at 804 Georgia Street; and,
<br />~
<br />WHEREAS, subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the
<br />Zoning commission did, on October 6, 1992 consider the request and
<br />voted to approve it and has recommended that the request be
<br />approved by the city Council of the city; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the city Council held a public hearing on the 23rd
<br />day of November, 1992, regarding the,request¡ and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, all requirements of Appendix A, General Zoning
<br />Ordinance, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos
<br />pertaining to amendments have been met; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds and determines that the
<br />adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the
<br />public health, morals, welfare and safety; now, therefore,
<br />
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,
<br />TEXAS:
<br />
<br />SECTION 1. That the Official zoning Map of the City, as
<br />described in section 3 of the General Zoning Ordinance is hereby
<br />amended to rezone the following described real property located in
<br />San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, which is presently zoned "M"
<br />Single-Family Duplex and Neighborhood Business District and "R-l"
<br />Single Family Dwelling District (Low Density) to 1IR-1" Single-
<br />Family Dwelling District (Low Density):

<br />LOT 14 IN THE WEATHERFORD SUBDIVISION #2 IN THE CITY OF
<br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 132, PAGE 250 OF
<br />THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS
<br />
<br />SECTION 2. That this Ordinanc~ shall be in effect ten (10)
<br />days from and after its passage and after it has been subject to
<br />reconsideration by the Council at its next regular meeting
<br />following its passage, and providing that the Council did not vote
<br />to reconsider it. If reconsidered on December 7, 1992 it shall be
<br />in effect ten days from and after its passage on that date if
<br />approved. It shall not go into effect if denied. If not
<br />reconsidered and approved it shall be published in a newspaper of
<br />general circulation in the area as required by the Charter of the
<br />City of San Marcos, Texas.

<br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 23rd day oÎNovember , 1992,
<br />subject to reconsideration &t the next regular City Council meeting
<br />scheduled for December 7, 1992 .
