Full time <br /> observations of drilled pier foundation construction will be provided <br /> by qualified engineering and technical personnel. Penetration to the <br /> design bearing depth/stratum will be verified and logs indicating <br /> e1evation ( i f available)! total depth, penetration into bearing <br /> stratum, shaft diameter, length and diameter of casing, groundwater, <br /> reinforcing steel and other pertinent data will be maintained. The <br /> cun1..rac1..or and structural engineer will be contacted if unusual or <br /> unexpected soil conditions are encountered. Samples of plastic <br /> concrete will be obtained, slump tests performed, ambient and mix ! <br /> temperatures recorded, and test specimens will be cast. lest specimen I <br /> will be picked up, cured, and tested in accordance with project i <br /> specifications. I <br /> ~ I <br /> Grade beams will be checked for proper size, cleanliness of bearing <br /> surface, proper reinforcement (grade, size, quantity and lap length), <br /> and concrete cover.
