<br /> G88 . <br /> , <br /> ~ CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br /> RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR ELECTRIC SERVICE <br />Applicant's Recourse <br /> - <br /> In the event that the City '~hall refuse to serve an applicant <br /> under the provisions of these rules, the City will inform the <br /> applicant of the basis of its refusal of service. The <br /> applicant may file a complaint with the City Manager of the <br /> city. <br /> CLARIFICATION OF APPLICATION OF RETAIL RATE SCHEDULES <br /> . , <br />In order to clarify the provisions of the Standard Residential <br />Rates and the Basic Small Lighting and Power Rates, with respect <br />to the applicability of these schedules to cases approaching the <br />border line of classification, the following specific <br />interpretations are given: <br /> 1. Multiple Dwellinqs. Where premises include two or more <br /> residential or dwe¡ling units, the residential rate may <br /> be applied only if separate circuits are provided <br /> without cost to the City. A residential or dwelling <br /> unit shall be defined, for the purpose or applying this <br /> interpretation, as the space provided for the occupancy <br /> of a single family, i.e., including separate living <br /> quarters and kitchen. If it is not practical to provide <br /> for separate metering of each individual unit, the <br /> entire premises will be served under the appropriate <br /> Lighting and Power Rate. <br /> 2. Commercial Use of Pottions of Dwellinqs. The <br /> residential rate is not applicable to the space in a <br /> dwelling which is regularly used for commercial <br /> pUrposes, such as an office, beauty shop, studio, tea <br /> room, or store or for other gainful activities. In such <br /> cases if a separate circuit is provided, at no cost to <br /> the City, for the portion of the dwelling so used, the <br /> residential rate should be applied-to the balance of the <br /> power requirements and the appropriate Lighting and <br /> Power Rate applied to the power requirements of the <br /> portion of the dwelling used for commercial purposes. <br /> If a separate circuit is not provided, the entire power <br /> requirements of the premises must be billed under the <br /> appropriate Lighting and Power Rate. <br /> 3. Roominq Houses. Any dwelling which is recognized as a <br /> regular rooming house, or advertises as such, shall be <br /> billed on the appropriate Lighting and Power Rate. <br /> -52- <br />
