<br />Ordinance 2011-50 <br /> <br />Meeting date: September 20, 2011 <br /> <br /> <br />Item # 21. Receive a Staff presentation and hold a Public Hearing to receive comments <br />for or against Ordinance 2011 -50, approving an amendment to the Future Land Use Map <br />from "LDR" Low Density Residential to "MU" Mixed Use for 1.1 acres, more or less, of <br />land consisting of the lots located at 511, 517, 519 -525, 531 and 537 West Hopkins Street; <br />amending the Official Zoning Map of the City by rezoning the lots at 511, 517, 519 -525 and <br />531 West Hopkins Street from "SF -4.5" Single - Family Residential District to "MU" Mixed <br />Use District and the lot at 537 West Hopkins Street from "SF -6" Single- Family Residential <br />District to "MU" Mixed Use District; and including procedural provisions, and consider <br />approval of Ordinance 2011 -50 <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> Upon a motion made by Council Member Jones and a second by Council Member <br />Scott the City Council voted (7) for and (0) opposed, to postpone action to allow time to look at <br />the list of uses allowed by right for Mixed Use. The motion carried unanimously. Council <br />directed staff to include Planning and Zoning Commission reports in agenda packets in the <br />future, to explore the LDC for home offices and include it in the scope that Mr. Singleton is <br />working on, and to also look at uses allowed by right and evaluate those lists. Council also <br />directed staff to look at the list of uses allowed by right for Mixed Use and find a way to find <br />uses that would be accommodating for all involved and bring back to Council once it is ready for <br />review. <br />
