P1annin& Projc:ds. In carrying out planning projects: <br /> a. It will execute the projc.ct in aa:ordance with the approved program narrative contained in thc projc.ct application or with <br /> modifications similarly approved. <br /> b. It will furnish the Se=tary with such periodic reports as required pertaining to the plancing projc.ct and planning work <br /> activities. <br /> c. It will include in all published material prepared in connc.ction with the planning projc.ct a notice that the material W<I.1i <br /> prepared under a grant provided by the United States. <br /> d. It will make such material available for examination by the public, and agrees that no material prepared with funds under <br /> tlús projc.ct shall be subject to copyright in the Un.ited States or any other countIy. ~ <br /> e. It will give the Secretary unrestricted authority to publish, disclœe, distnòute, and otherwist: use any of the material <br /> prepared in connc.ction with this grant. <br /> f. It 1IfÏll grant the Se=tary the right to disapprove the ~nsor'¡ employment of specific consultants and their <br /> subcontractors to do all or any part of this proj~t as well as the right to disapprove the proposed scope and cost of <br /> professional setVÌces. <br /> go It will grant the Se=tary the right to disapprove the use o{ the sponsor's employ.:es to do all or any part o{ the project. <br /> h. It unden;tands and agrees that the Se=tary's approval o{ this projc.ct grant or the Secretary's approval of any planning <br /> material developed as part of this grant does not constitute or imply any assurance or commitment on the part o{ the <br /> Se=tary to approve any pending or future application {or a Federal airport grant. <br /> 19. Operaôoa aDd Maint.enano::. . <br /> a. It will suitably operate and maintain the airport and all facilities thereon or connc.cted therewith, with due regard' to <br /> climatic and flood conditions. Any proposal to temporarily close the airport for nonaeronautical purposes must fin>t be <br /> approved by the Se=tary. The airpon and all facilities which are necessary to serve the aeronautical users of the airport, <br /> other than facilities owned or controlled by the Un.ited States, ¡hall be operated at all times in a safe and setVÌceable <br /> condition and in accordance 1IfÏth the minimum standards a¡¡ may be required or prescribed by applicable Fedetal, ¡tate, <br /> and local agencies for maintenanC"C and operation. It will not cause or permit any activity or action thereon which WQuld <br /> interfere 1IfÏth its use for airport purposes. <br /> In furtherance of tlús assuranC"C, the sponsor will have in effc.ct at all times arrangements for- <br /> (1) Operating the airport's aeronautical facilities whene\l1:r required; <br /> (2) Promptly marking and lighting hazards resulting from airport conditions, including tempotary conditions; and <br /> (3) Promptly notifying airmen 0{ any condition affc.cting aeronautical use of the airport. <br /> Nothing contained herein shall be construed to require that the airport be operated for aeronautical use during temporary <br /> periods when snow, flood, or other climatic conditions interfere 1IfÏth such operation and maintenanC"C.
