4.0 COST ESTIMATE
The estimated budget for this project is $ 25,684. It is based on the assumption 'that only four
of the six monitoring wells will contain sufficient water for sampling each quarter (a total of 16
samples for laboratory analysis) and that the analytical suite will be expanded to include semi-
volatile organics, as required by the TDH in their 10/22/90 letter to the City. As per our
conversation on 11/5/90, the budget also includes the laboratory charges for the two ground-
water samples analyzed in addition to the six samples quoted in our February 1990 work plan
and cost estimate. Other costs included are for the meeting with the City and Corp of
Engineers on August 28, 1990 and two water level monitoring events in November 1990.
Details of the estimate are presented by task on the next page. Actual charges will be made
on a time and materials basis according to the attached 1990 Schedule of Charges. We will
not exceed the estimated budget without the prior notification and approval of the City of San
Marcos. If a lesser effort is required, the invoiced amount will be less than the estimated
budget.
7
