<br />5 <br /> <br />(B) Commercial nurseries, commercial sod <br />farms and other similar establishments <br />are requested to curtail all non- <br />essential water use. <br /> <br />(C) Restaurants are requested not to serve <br />water to customers except when <br />specifically requested by the customer. <br /> <br />(D) Voluntary reduction of water use in <br />commercial and industrial processes is <br />recommended. <br /> <br />(E) Demand reduction measures for all outdoor <br />water uses apply to commercial and <br />industrial uses. <br /> <br />(8) Domestic use: Voluntary reduction for indoor <br />domestic use is recommended by any means <br />available. <br /> <br />(9) Essential and utility Uses: <br /> <br />(A) Fire fighting: No restrictions. <br /> <br />(B) Medical use by health care facilities: <br />no restrictions. <br /> <br />(C) Water utility use: <br /> <br />(l) Reduction of average system pressure <br />to 60 psi is recommended. <br /> <br />(2) Leak detection and system repairs <br />are recommended. <br /> <br />(3) Stabilizing and equalizing system <br />pressure is recommended. <br /> <br />(4) Sewer line flushing: Reduction is <br />recommended. <br /> <br />(5) Fire hydrant flushing: Reduction is <br />recommended. <br /> <br />(6) Power production use: Reduction of <br />water use is recommended. <br /> <br />Sec. 30-12. stage 2 (Aauifer Watch) Water Use <br />Restrictions <br /> <br />(a) The mayor or city manager is hereby authorized to <br />implement Stage 2 (Aquifer Watch) of the San Marcos Water <br />Conservation Plan when the Aquifer level as measured in the <br />index well is between 630 feet above mean sea level and 620 <br />feet above mean sea level. The mayor or city manager is <br />further authorized to terminate stage 2 (Aquifer Watch) <br />based upon an appropriate change in the water level of the <br />index well. The order to implement and to terminate stage <br />2 (Aquifer Watch) shall be made by public announcement and <br />shall be published a minimum of one (l) time in a newspaper <br />of general circulation in the city. <br /> <br />(b) The order of the mayor or city manager under this <br />Section may impose any or all of the following restrictions <br />or conditions on the use of water as the circumstances may <br />require: <br /> <br />(1) Landscape Irrigation: <br />
