<br /> 7 <br /> equipment is permitted on the immediate <br /> premises of a commercial washing <br /> facility. <br /> (B) Commercial nurseries, commercial sod <br /> farms and other similar establishments <br /> shall restrict watering hours to 6 a.m. <br /> to 10 a.m. <br /> (C) Restaurants are prohibited from serving <br /> water to customers unless specifically <br /> requested by the customer. <br /> (D) Voluntary reduction of water use in <br /> commercial and industrial processes is <br /> recommended. <br /> (E) Demand reduction measures for all outdoor <br /> water uses apply to commercial and <br /> industrial uses. <br /> (8) Domestic use: Voluntary reduction for indoor <br /> domestic use is recommended by any means <br /> available. <br /> (9) Essential and utility Uses: <br /> (A) Fire fighting: No restrictions. <br /> (B) Medical use by health care facilities: <br /> no restrictions. <br /> (C) Water utility use: <br /> (l) Reduction of average system pressure <br /> to 60 psi is recommended. <br /> (2) Leak detection and system repairs <br /> are recommended. <br /> (3) Stabilizing and equalizing system <br /> pressure are recommended. <br /> (4) Sewer line flushing is prohibited <br /> except for emergencies. <br /> (5) Fire hydrant flushing is prohibited <br /> except for emergencies. <br /> (6) Power production use: Reduction of <br /> water use is recommended. <br /> Sec. 30-13. Staae 3 (Aquifer Alert) Water Use <br /> Restrictions. <br /> (a) The mayor or city manager is hereby authorized to <br /> implement Stage 3 (Aquifer Alert) of the San Marcos Water <br /> Conservation Plan when the Aquifer level as measured in the <br /> index well is between 620 feet above mean sea level and 612 <br /> feet above mean sea level and 612 feet above mean sea <br /> level. The mayor or city manager is further authorized to <br /> terminate stage 3 (Aquifer Alert) based upon an appropriate <br /> change in the water level of the index well. The order to <br /> implement and to terminate Stage 3 (Aquifer Alert) shall be <br /> made by public announcement and shall be published at least <br /> one (l) time in a newspaper of general circulation in the <br /> city. <br /> (b) The order may impose any or all of the following <br />
