<br /> 2 <br /> RESOLUTION 1991- 38 R <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE SUBMISSION <br /> OF A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT <br /> OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS IN CONNECTION WITH THE <br /> TEXAS EloIERGENCY SHELTER GRANTS PROGRAM; AND <br /> DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, the Emergency Shelter Grants Program (ESGP) of the <br /> Texas Department of Community Affairs (TDCA) provides funds in a <br /> competitive process to help meet the needs of homeless persons; <br /> and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council desires to approve the application <br /> for participation in the ESGP submitted by Southside Community <br /> Center in order to obtain the benefit of such funds for homeless <br /> persons in the San Marcos community; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. That the submission of the attached grant application <br /> by the Souths ide Community Center to TDCA for participation in the <br /> ESGP is hereby approved. <br /> PART 2. That the City Manager, Larry D. Gilley, is hereby <br /> authorized to execute the certification of Local Government <br /> Approval associated with this grant application. <br /> PART 3.
