<br /> PROBLEM STATEMENT <br /> Homeless Individuals suffer from lack of job opportunities <br /> and potential threat of drug dependency, mental health problems, <br /> criminal activity and possible family instability. <br /> This leads to a greater dependency on governmental agencies, <br /> social service organizations, and mental health programs. <br /> Southside Community Center deals with over 1000 homeless <br /> individuals every year. This has enabled us to monitor and work <br /> closely with homeless clients. All of our clients have one <br /> of the above mention problem. Southside Community Center <br /> presently can not offer any effective assistance to these <br /> clients. <br /> Page 3 <br />
