<br /> ARTICLE II <br /> ROLE OF PARTIES <br /> 2.01 Role of the Grantee. Grantee shall have the authority <br /> and control over zone operations as is necessary in order to <br /> ensure that operations of the Zone are being conducted in <br /> accordance with the grant of authority from the Foreign Trade <br /> Zones Board, and that the foreign trade zone needs of the <br /> business community in Central Texas are being served by the Zone. <br /> Grantee's involvement in activities or occurrences at a Zone Site <br /> are limited to those specifically set forth in the Act and <br /> Regulations. Grantee and its Board members, collectively and <br /> individually, shall have no other control over, responsibility <br /> for, or liability with regard to any occurrences or activities at <br /> a Zone site. <br /> 2.02 Role of the Operator. Grantee intends to delegate to <br /> <br /> Operator the authority to conduct and manage the day-to-day <br /> operations and functions of the Zone on behalf of the Grantee. <br /> It is anticipated that Operator will be specifically authorized <br /> by Grantee to perform any and all acts which are deemed necessary <br /> or advisable for the proper operation of the Zone, including, but <br /> not limited to, filing Customs entries on behalf of Users of the <br /> Zone, keeping Zone records satisfactory to customs, and <br /> Activation of Zone space. <br /> - 3 - <br /> 02:16590208.90 <br />
