<br /> 86 <br /> Regular Meeting May 9, 1983 Page 2 <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval to ratify an agree- <br /> ment for engineering services with Pro-Tech Engineering Group, Inc., as <br /> approved by the City Manager for Patton Street Extension, Entitlement <br /> Year IV, Community Development. Mr. Guerra moved to approve the agree- <br /> ment and Mr. Farr seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval to ratify an <br /> agreement for engineering services with Pro-Tech Engineering Group, <br /> Inc., as approved by the City Manager for Roosevelt Project, Entitle- <br /> ment Year III, Community Development. Mr. Guerra moved to approve the <br /> agreement and Mr. Brown seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval to ratify an agree- <br /> ment for engineering services with Pro-Tech Engineering Group, Inc., as <br /> approved by the City Manager for Victory Gardens Sidewalks (Patton Street, <br /> west side from Roosevelt to Knox; Valley Street, north side from Luck to <br /> Shady; Armstrong Street, south side from Patton to MacArthur). Mr. Brown <br /> moved to approve the agreement and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which <br /> passed unanimously. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption <br /> of an Ordinance on third and final reading, the caption which was read <br /> as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 12 OF THE CODE OF <br /> ORDINANCES, CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, TO PRESCRIBE <br /> REGULATIONS FOR THE STORAGE AND COLLECTION OF REFUSE <br /> ACCUMULATED IN THE CITY; PROVIDING FOR THE MAINTENANCE <br /> OF SANITARY CONDITIONS ON PUBLIC AND PRIVATE PREMISES <br /> IN THE CITY; PROVIDING FOR THE IMPOSITION AND COLLEC- <br /> TION BY THE CITY OF FEES FOR THE COLLECTION AND DIS- <br /> POSAL OF RESIDENTIAL REFUSE; REQUIRING A DEPOSIT FOR <br /> SAID SERVICE; PRESCRIBING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS OF <br /> ITS PROVISIONS AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> Mayor Craddock opened the public hearing. No one wished to speak in <br /> favor or in opposition to the adoption of the Ordinance, so Mayor Crad- <br /> dock closed the public hearing. Mr. Farr then moved for adoption of <br /> the Ordinance on third and final reading and Mr. Brown seconded the <br /> motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration a public hearing to consider <br /> annexation of 78.23 acres of land out of the J. M. Veramendi League No. <br /> 1, Hays County, Texas, a/k/a National Supply Company - San Marcos Valve, <br /> a division of Armco, Inc., located at 2503 Hunter Road. Mayor Craddock <br /> opened the public hearing. No one wished to speak in favor or in opposi- <br /> tion to the annexation, so Mayor Craddock closed the public hearing. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration a public hearing to consider <br /> annexation of 96.709 acres of land out of the J. M. Veramendi Survey, <br /> Hays County, Texas, on F.M.#2439 (located directly across the highway <br /> from the Armco entrance). Mayor Craddock opened the public hearing. <br /> No one wished to speak for or against the annexation. Mr. Farr asked <br /> Mr. Dupree, who was requesting annexation of the property, what the <br /> lot sizes would be in the residential subdivision. Mr. Dupree stated <br /> they would be city Slze lots, approximately 10,000 to 15,000 square <br /> feet and would have all underground utilities. No one else wished to <br /> speak in favor or in opposition to the annexation, so Mayor Craddock <br /> closed the public hearing. <br />
