RESOLUTION 2013 -80R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS.) TEXAS, APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE <br />CITY AND CARTER DESIGN ASSOCIATES FOR THE PROVISION OF <br />ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH THE CEPHAS <br />HOUSE RESTORATION PROJECT IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF <br />$50,700.00 WHICH INCLUDES AN INCREASE OF $750.00 ABOVE THE <br />PREVIOUS CONTRACT AMOUNT OF $49,950.00; RATIFYING THE <br />CITY MANAGER'S EXECUTION OF THIS AGREEMENT ON BEHALF <br />OF THE CITY; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS <br />DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE AUTHORIZATION OF CHANGE IN <br />SERVICES NO. 2 ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />1. On August 14, 2009, the City entered into an agreement (the "Agreement ") with <br />Carter Design Associates (the "Consultant ") for the provision of architectural services in <br />connection with the Cephas House Restoration Project (the "Project ") in an estimated not -to- <br />exceed amount of $48,200.00 <br />2. On October 12, 2011, the City approved Authorization of Change in Service <br />( "ACIS ") No. 1 which increased the fee from $48,200.00 to $49,950.00. <br />3. Additional Project site visits were necessary and the fee for these additional <br />services is $750.00. <br />4. The approval of Authorization of Change in Services ( "ACIS ") No. 2 for $750.00 <br />will cause the Agreement to exceed the previous Agreement amount of $49,950.00, and will <br />trigger the need for City Council's approval of the Agreement. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The Agreement between the City and the Consultant dated August 14, <br />2009, for the provision of architectural services in the total amount of $50,700.00 which includes <br />an increase of $750.00 above the previous contract amount of $49,950.00 is approved. <br />PART 2. The City Manager's execution of the Agreement on behalf of the City is <br />ratified and the City Manager or his designee is authorized to execute ACIS No. 2 on behalf of <br />the City. <br />PART 3.
