AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE AND SALE OF CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, WATERWORKS AND SEWER SYSTEM REVENUE BONDS, SERIES 1991, IN THE AGGREGATE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF $850,000, PRESCRIBING THE FORM OF SAID BONDS; PROVIDING FOR THE SECURITY FOR AND PAYMENT OF SAID BONDS; AWARDING THE SALE THEREOF; APPROVING THE OFFICIAL STATEMENT; ENACTING OTHER PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY WHEREAS, waterworks and sewer system revenue bonds of the City of San Marcos, Texas (the "City"), were duly and favorably voted, pursuant to the laws of the State of Texas, at elections held in the City on the dates hereinafter set forth; and the following are among the purposes and amounts of the bonds which were authorized, together with the total amount previously issued pursuant to each voted authorization, the amount therefrom being issued pursuant to this Ordinance, and the balance to remain unissued after the issuance of the bonds hereinafter authorized to-wit: Total Amount * Amount * Amount* Election Arnount* Previously Being Remaining Date Purpose Authorized Issued Issued Unissued 04/07/84 Waterworks $6,200 $5,150 $-0- $1,050 System 09/08/90 Wastewater Plant and Facilities 2,000 -0- 200 1,800 Water Treatment Facilities 8,500 -0- 650 7,850 Water and Sewer System 1,330 -0- -0- 1,330 *Amounts in thousands. WHEREAS, this City Council finds and determines that it is necessary and in the best interest of the City and its ci tiz.ens that it authorize by this Ordinance the issuance, sale and delivery of $850,000 of such bonds, in a single issue, in accordance with the Constitution and laws of the State of Texas, including TEX. REV. CIV. STAT. ANN. art. llll, et seq., and the Home Rule Charter of the City; Now, Therefore
