<br /> 2 <br /> Special Meeting May 31, 1983 Page 2 <br /> Mr. Guerra moved for adoption of the Resolution and Ms. Kissler <br /> seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced consideration acceptance of the report <br /> from the Mayor's Committee on Emergency Medical Services. Mayor <br /> Craddock moved to approve the report in order to get it on the <br /> table for discussion and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which <br /> passed unanimously. Mayor Craddock moved to amend the report by <br /> adding "be a non-voting member" to the sentence to read as follows: <br /> "1 member appointed by the Administrator of Hays Memorial <br /> Hospital to serve one year be a non-voting member." <br /> Mr. Guerra seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. <br /> Moore moved to amend the report by replacing HIRE with APPOINT <br /> in the following sentence: "The governing board shall have <br /> authority to appoint a physician Medical Director to provide..." <br /> and Mr. Brown seconded the motion. On roll call the following <br /> vote was recorded: <br /> AYE: Brown, Farr, Craddock, Kissler, Kreczmer, Moore. <br /> NAY: Guerra. <br /> ABSTAIN: None. <br /> Mr. Farr rroved to amend the report as follows: No member of City <br /> Councilor other elected officials are to be appointed to the <br /> board. The board will be constituted for a 3-year period at which <br /> time there will be another review. Mr. Brown seconded the motion, <br /> which passed unanimously. <br /> Mayor Craddock moved to adopt the Emergency Medical Services report <br /> as amended and Mr. Brown seconded the motion, which passed unani- <br /> mously. A copy of said report is attached to these minutes. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration to direct Staff to <br /> dispose of earth materials being excavated out of Mill Street <br /> Drainage Project. Mayor Craddock moved that all dirt south of <br /> East Hopkins to the San Marcos River be reserved for the residen- <br /> tial users at $1.50 per cubic yard (1 imi ted to small pickup trucks) <br /> for a period of 6 weeks; the dirt north of East Hopkins is to be <br /> bidded out to commercial ~aulers; and, a reserve of 8,000 cubic <br /> yards will be for the softball fields and Mr. Guerra seconded the <br /> motion, which passed uanimously. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration directing Staff to <br /> prepare a budget amendment to allocate $50,000 for street improve- <br /> ments. Mayor Craddock moved to approve a budget amendment to <br /> allocate $50,000 for street improvements with $43,000 to come <br /> from Revenue Sharing and the remaining $7,000 from Fund Balance <br /> and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration directing Staff to <br /> prepare budget amendment to allocate $25,000 to continue brush <br /> pickup service for a two-month period. Ms. Kissler moved that <br /> the landfill continue its operation until July 15th primarily <br /> to pickup brush for which requests to the City have already been <br /> made and to accommodate contractors during the transition period <br /> and Mr. Farr seconded the motion. On roll call the following <br /> vote was recorded: <br /> AYE: Brown, Farr, Craddock, Kissler, Kreczmer, Moore. <br /> NAY: Guerra. <br /> ABSTAIN: None. <br />
