<br />I <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2007 - 127 R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS ADOPTING A DROUGHT RESPONSE PLAN; <br />AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECIT ALS: <br /> <br />1. The City of San Marcos is required to adopt and implement a Water <br />Conservation and Drought Response Plan. The City first established such a plan <br />in 1991, and has revised that plan several times since. The last revision was in <br />2005. <br /> <br />2. In September 2006, the City revised its water conservation and <br />drought response ordinances to adopt plumbing code requirements for irrigation <br />systems, decorative water features, commercial cooling systems, commercial car <br />washes, commercial dining facilities and commercial laundry facilities. The <br />revision also expanded year-round water conservation rules and adopted spring <br />flow triggers for initiating drought response changes. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />3. The current revision to the drought response plan reflects the changes <br />made to the City's ordinances and updates to the water system profile, customer <br />profile, water and wastewater rates, and BMP descriptions as well as a current <br />water utility survey. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The attached City of San Marcos Water Conservation and <br />Drought Response Plan is approved. <br /> <br />SECTION 2.
