<br /> (4) to participate with CAPCO in providing training <br /> in the use of the 9-1-1 equipment and call-taking procedures~ <br /> (S) to maintain a cooperative working relationship <br /> with CAPCO and the telephone company{ies) for effective man- <br /> agement of the 9-1-1 system~ <br /> (6) to assist CAPCO in educating the public about <br /> the proper use of 9-1-1 through the news media, elected <br /> officials, community groups and volunteers, and others: <br /> (7) to report to CAPCO at times and on forms <br /> specified by CAPCO on the Public Agency's performance of this <br /> contract. <br /> Compensation <br /> 5. CAPCO has contracted to pay the telephone <br /> company(ies} and other vendors directly for the 9-I-l equip- <br /> ment and services furnished the Public Agency. A summary of <br /> the costs of the equipment and services is set out on Attach- <br /> ment B to this contract. The Public Agency is not a third- <br /> party beneficiary of any contract between CAP CO and a tele- <br /> phone company or other vendor. <br /> 6. The Public Agency understands that CAPCO's sole <br /> source of funding for paying the telephone company(ies) <br /> and other vendors is the emergency service fee collected by <br /> the telephone company{ies) and remitted to CAPCO. If fees <br /> sufficient to pay the telephone company(ies} and other ven- <br /> dors are not received by CAPCO, CAPCO may notify the Public <br /> Agency of this fact, and upon receipt of this notice the <br /> Public Agency's obligations under this contract are suspended <br /> until CAPCO is able to resume payments. <br /> Effective Date and Term of Contract <br /> 7. This contract takes effect AIJ§.lIst 21 1990 ' <br /> and it remains in effect until terminate under'paragraph 8. <br /> 8. Either CAPCO or the Public Agency may terminate <br /> this contract, with or without cause, by giving the other <br /> notice of intent to terminate. The contract terminates 45 <br /> calendar days after the date of the notice. <br /> 2 <br />
