<br /> 4.l There will be no reimbursable expenses to be paid to the <br /> ARCHITECT for basic services as a part of this Agreement. Such <br /> expenses are included in the ARCHITECT'S Compensation for Basic <br /> Services. Reimbursable expenses are to be paid for additional services <br /> in accordance with Section 1.6 of this Agreement only with CITY's prior <br /> approval. These expenses are to be charged to the CITY at actual cost <br /> and shall include such things as expenses for transportation, <br /> equipment, travel, communications, subsistence and lodging away from <br /> home, reproduction and similar incidentals. <br /> ARTICLE 5 <br /> PAYllEH".rS TO THE ARCHITECT <br /> 5.1 PAYIŒftS OR ACCOUNT OF BASIC SERVICES <br /> 5.1.1 Payments for Basic Services shall be made to ARCHITECT <br /> monthly following receipt by CITY of ARCHITECT's invoice therefor. The <br /> amounts of these invoices shall be based upon the extent of work <br /> completed by the ARCHITECT, on a percentage basis; provided, that <br /> payments for each phase of work in progress shall not exceed the <br /> compensation amount specified for that phase in Section 13.1. 1. less <br /> any disputed amounts, pending resolution thereof. <br /> 5.2 PAYJŒJ!i'.rS OR ACCOOB'.r OF ADDITIO1IAL SERVICES <br /> 5.2.l Payments on account of the ARCHITECT's Additional Services as <br /> defined in Paragraph 1.6 shall be made monthly upon presentation of the <br /> ARCHITECT's statement of services rendered or expenses incurred, less <br /> any disputed amounts, pending resolution thereof. <br /> 5.3 PROJEC"r SUSPERSIOR OR TERllIRATIOH <br /> 5.3.1 If the Project or any phase of it is suspended or abandoned <br /> in whole or in part for more than ninety (90) days, the ARCHITECT shall <br /> be compensated for all services performed prior to receipt of written <br /> notice from the CITY of such suspension or abandonment. If the <br /> Project is thereafter resumed after being suspended for more than <br /> ninety (90) days, the ARCHITECT's compensation shall be subject to <br /> renegotiation. <br /> ARTICLE 6 <br /> ARCHITEC"r . S ACCOUJ1TIHG RECORDS <br /> 6.l All expense records of ARCHITECT shall be kept on a <br /> recognized accounting basis acceptable to the CITY and shall be <br /> -16- <br />
